Current Top 5 Teams

Taking a look at the standings – Nov 18, 2019

Eastern Conference:

  1. Boston Celtics
  2. Miami heat
  3. Milwaukee Bucks
  4. Toronto Raptors
  5. Philadelphia 76ers

Western Conference:

  1. LA Lakers
  2. Houston Rockets
  3. Denver Nuggets
  4. Utah Jazz
  5. Phoenix Suns

When we look closely at the top five teams for each conference we can see that teams who made drastic trades, cuts, and changes to players and staff members a like are among the top competitors.

The Boston Celtics are sitting at the #1 is the East due to players like Kemba Walker (who they acquired in the off season) and Jaylen Brown (long standing team member) to help lead them to victory. With the new chemistry between players, it’s clear that the Celtics have hit a stride that works for them.

The LA Lakers are also top in the West, very much like the Celtics, as they have acquired Anthony Davis a top 5 player currently. Meshing with LeBron James, and freshly acquired champion Danny Green, the LA Lakers are on pace to sweep through teams this season.

Kemba Walker Injury

Kemba Walker goes off in this game against the Bucks for – 31 Pts, 7 Rebs, 6 Asts!

*(Breaking News)* Boston Celtics star Kemba Walker has been escorted out of the arena on a stretcher after a head on collision with Semi Ojeleye.

Walker collapsed into a fetal position and was wheeled away in a stretcher after being immobilized. It was revealed that he has concussion like symptoms, but is otherwise ok. He will enter concision protocol via NBA policy and will return to Boston for further rest.

Walker is having an amazing season averaging 21 points for the Celtics after signing with them this off-season.

We wish Walker a speedy recovery.

Luka Doncic

Luka Doncic gets – 34 Pts, 9 Asts, 6 Rebs against the Celtics!

Luka Doncic is beginning to feel the effects of stardom, as the young Dallas Mavericks star is being called “baby goat” (Greatest Of All Time) after his amazing performance thus far this season.

The young star is only 20 years old and is averaging 30 points a game. Earning a ridiculous stat line every night, he’s been giving the freedom to take over games and dominate his opponents. But the most fascinating part about Doncic is his cool demeanor he keeps while playing. He has the confidence and skill to play against the even the greatest veterans, and you won’t see an ounce of fear in his eyes. He will pass, score, and drive right by you without a second thought.

Doncic is shaping up to be the next generational talent, and is following in the footsteps of greats like LeBron James, Michael Jordan, and Kobe Bryant.

James Harden

James Harden demolishes the Timberwolves and ends the game with a stat line of – 49 Pts, 8 Threes, 6 Asts

James Harden of the Houston Rockets is having ANOTHER monumental season! Averaging almost 40 points a game, its no laughing matter to say he is the literal force behind the Rockets success.

While Harden is having an incredible season, this isn’t his first rodeo. Harden has previously led his team to wins and even a few West Coast playoffs, but unfortunately has never won a MVP.

Many feel that this is ludicrous as Harden has continuously played his heart out for the Rockets, and been a leader on and off the court. He consistently puts up massive points to lead his team to victory and the fact that he hasn’t won an MVP yet is a disappointment to many.

Hopefully, this is his year.

Ben Simmons First 3 Pointer

Highlights

In amazing fashion, young star Ben Simmons has hit his first 3 pointer in an NBA game.

This may not seem like big news to most, but to anyone following the Philadelphia 76ers, it’s monumental.

Ben Simmons is in his third year playing in the NBA, off of a recent rookie of the year, and one of the 76ers leaders. While Simmons is a huge playmaker for the team, he’s always struggled with shooting from far on the court. Never having made a 3 pointer, videos emerged during the off season of him practicing and hitting 3 pointers.

After just 2 months after the 2019-2020 season starting, Ben Simmons hits his first 3 pointer in an actual game, and the crowd goes nuts. Stirring up social media hype and an interest in his further development, Simmons is one to keep an eye on.

Kyle Lowry

Recent Championship Winner, Kyle Lowry destroys the Bucks and earns him a stat line of 36 Pts, 6 Assists!

Kyle Lowry is an NBA and Toronto Raptors veteran. Coming off a championship win in the 2018-2019 season, all eyes are on the Raptors to do it again. But a challenge is certainly upon the team after losing key players Kawhai Leonard and Danny Green.

Nevertheless, the Raptors still have players like Siakim, VanVleet, and Lowry to continue on the legacy, and ensure the Raptors are able to come up with another win.

Kyle Lowry is currently on injury protocol via NBA policy, but is hoping to make a return soon to hopefully lead his team to another championship.
